Jonathan Barbar runs the brokerage division and day-to-day operations of Barbar & Associates. Mr. Barbar has been with the BARBAR team for over ten years and has acquired an extensive background in the PPP advisory activities of the firm on both the public and private sides of PPP transactions. He is familiar with the PPP policies, regulation and legislation under which Florida and other US State governments as well as governments worldwide have been pursuing PPP transactions for different types of public infrastructure projects.

 

Jonathan joined Barbar & Associates in 2008 following a successful career in commercial lending with major financial institutions and brings in-depth expertise in the southeast regional market, operations management, and loan structuring and property analysis to the firm.

 

Jonathan was part of Fifth Third Bank's initial expansion team to develop a commercial presence in southeast Florida. Along with Florida site selection and major client development, he specialized in loan underwriting for $5-$50 million investment real estate projects. He later worked with their Florida Special Assets group where he managed the disposition of a portfolio of over $100 million of commercial loans in all stages of the development cycle - land assemblage, pre-development, and mid-construction.
